The UNA-Wake County Chapter is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and mobilizing Wake County residents to support the principles and vital work of the United Nations and its agencies. Our board of directors is committed to working through our network to strengthen the United Nations system, promote constructive United States leadership in that system, and achieve the goals set forth in the UN Charter. We promote the United Nations’ local and global activities by focusing on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and by serving as advocates in support of the United Nations. UNA-Wake is particularly interested in Goal 5: Gender Equality; Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy; Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production; and Goal 17: Climate Action.
